Fruit Fly Baiting
Fruit fly baiting started in Darkan on Monday October 9. Please notify the Shire if you do not want your trees to be baited or if you have planted any new fruit trees.
If you have any concerns, queries or special arrangements i.e. locked gates or pets contact the Shire office prior to the commencement of baiting.
The program the Shire is using a fruit fly baiting method not a spraying method.
Baiting only requires one squirt onto the tree amongst the leaves, the female fly is then attracted to the high protein liquid.
If people see any fruit fly, or have any questions it would be greatly appreciated if they could contact the Shire on 9736 2222.
