The Collie Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. will be celebrating Small Business Day this Thursday October 26.
85 per cent of the Members of the Chamber can be described as small businesses. The definition of a small business is one that has less than 20 employees.
Despite this small size these businesses employ over 1,000 people in Collie. This is a significant benefit to the Collie community.
More small business in Collie means more jobs and more opportunities for community to prosper and grow.
Many of us got our first part-time job as a young person through small business.
Show your support for Small Business this Thursday by dropping into a small business and purchasing your goods and services locally you never know the next job they have might be for your family or friends.
Business owners, come and celebrate Small Business Day, with the Chamber and the new Shire Councillors (who have been invited), at the Collie Ridge Hotel Business After Hours from 6pm Thursday evening.
Please RSVP to Bec at admin@colliechamber.asn.au or ring 9734 4817 between 9am and 3pm. It’s also a great opportunity to hear about our young entrepreneurs and the opportunities for business diversification in Collie.
