The biggest event on the Collie Racing calendar, the annual Collie Cup is being held this Saturday.

Event organisers are calling on race-goers to think about their entry into the prestigious ‘Fashions on the Field’ competition, with some great prizes up for grabs.

The ‘Fashions on the Field’ competition has categories for ladies, gents and children.

The six-race program will also include the $10,000 Freo Group United Crane Hire Collie Cup race and Applecross Electrical supporting race.

A good amount of nominations have been received which will provide for an exciting race program.

Collie trainers Chris Gilbert and Brett Southcott will have starters in several of the races.

There is plenty of undercover areas to suit all weather conditions and extra tables and chairs available.

Entry is $10 for adults, pensioners $5, and children under 15 are free. Buses will be returning to the CBD from 7pm onwards.

The Collie Cup will be held at the Collie Race Club this Saturday, gates open 12pm. For more info, phone Rosanne on 0428 176 817.
