Preparations are well underway for this year’s Collie Lions Christmas Pageant and Night Markets on Saturday, December 16.
This year organisers have lined up a fun evening’s entertainment for the whole family.
Most of the action will take place in the new Central Park in Collie, with the street parade from 6-7pm.
There will be plenty to entertain crowds throughout the day, from local buskers and singers, jugglers and stilt walkers, to face painting, a climbing wall, food stalls and many more side shows and rides.
After the street parade the band The Subdividers will provide entertainment from 8-10.30pm.
Santa will be in his Grotto from 4-6pm for photos with the children, before joining the parade and then heading back to the Grotto for more photos from 7-9pm.
People entering a float just have to make their float and arrive at the Veteran Car Club in Medic Street at 5.30pm.
First prize for best float is $500, second $200 and third encouragement awards of $200 each.
People wanting to hire a stall for the markets should contact Greg Bates via email: gjandmjbates@gmail.com.
Stalls should be booked by November 30 and the cost is $20 per 3m bay plus $15 if power is required.
The Christmas pageant is an alcohol free event.
