Grade two and three students from Fairview Primary School visited the the residents at ValleyView Residence to spread some Christmas cheer.
The students arrived in their Christmas hats and sang some Christmas carols including favourites such as ‘Aussie Jingle Bells’ and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’.
They also handed out Christmas presents and cards they had made, giving the residents crystal snowflakes that they would be able to hang by their windows.
The students also got the opportunity to mingle with the residents during morning tea and learned what Christmas was like for the residents when they were children and what they received as presents.
Fairview Primary School teacher Mrs Byrne said everyone had an enjoyable time and that the students were looking forward to the next opportunity to visit the residents at ValleyView Residence.
