My name is Carol Bowen, married to Daniel Bowen with two young children.
We moved to Collie eight years ago to set up our family in a nice country town.
I would love the opportunity to represent our lovely community in all facets of growth and diversity.
I suffered a stroke at the age of 34 and have overcome many challenges to be in a position to where I stand today.
It is with this passion for life that I feel I could offer a multitude of perspectives representing our community.
Being a mother, I feel that Collie is growing and developing but it needs to evolve to be a more sustainable place to work and prosper. I don’t feel there is a big enough voice for people with disabilities in Collie.
I would like to be that voice at a council level.
Support, access, opportunity and vision would be my goals in this area. I am a first time campaigner and if I am elected I will have fresh eyes with a fresh perspective.
I will be a strong voice for my fellow rate payers to give back to my community.
I am an approachable person, a good listener and will work constructively with my fellow councillors on the issues within our lovely town and help the community to thrive and grow.
