LADIES TUESDAY PENNANTS – October 31
Collie were in Collie against Brunswick to play in the Tuesday Pennants.
Weather was much better and most enjoyable to play bowls.
Division 2:
Collie 4 points 60 aggregate defeated Brunswick 0 points 31 aggregate;
H. Gibbs, M. Young, E. Johnsen, K. McElroy won 23 to 20;
K. Scott, R. Colgan, G. Kaurin, K. Cluning won 37 to 11.
MEN’S TUESDAY PENNANTS – October 31
Division 1 were away to Bunbury; Division 3 were at home to Bunbury; Division 4 were away to Brunswick.
There were some mixed results.
Division 1:
Collie 3 points 41 aggregate defeated Bunbury Gold 1 point 30 aggregate;
G. Keep, R. Guilfoyle, K. McKenzie, R. Garner won 27 to 13;
J. Parker 4, J. Crowe, R. Ferris 4, L. McCamish lost 14 to 17.
Division 3:
Collie 2 points 43 aggregate drew with Bunbury 2 points 43 aggregate;
J. Tyler, T. Uren, B. Lowe, D. Burgess lost 15 to 23;
P. DeBondi, R. Searle, J. Waywood, J. Stone won 28 to 20.
Division 4:
Collie 1 point 40 aggregate lost to Brunswick 3 points 44 aggregate;
K. Richards, V. Brojanowski, I. Corley, J. Bell lost 19 to 27;
H. Wiggers, J. Godfrey, I. Bushell, C. Sanford won 21 to 17.
PINE HAULIERS MEAT PACK – November 1
Twenty eight players took to the greens for a great day of bowls.
Jamie has instigated some changes in the Wednesday meat pack with different games formats and raffles.
This has gone down well with the players reciprocating by turning up and enjoying their bowls.
Last Wednesday was 2 by 4 by 2.
Results:
1st: Jamie Parker and Steve Matthews with 4 points plus 26;
2nd: Graeme Carter and Ian Bushell with 4 points plus 12;
3rd: Ray Colgan and Terry Uren with 4 points plus 7.
SOUTH WEST LEAGUE TEAM – November 2
Selected in the South West team to play the Murray League at Waroona are Gary Keep, Tom Edwards, Ross White, and Wayne Stocks.
Well done to the men who were selected from Collie.
BUNBURY MEDLEY PAIRS – November 3
Two pairs played in the Ladies Medley Pairs in Bunbury on Friday with some success. Forty five pairs attended the day.
Heather Gibbs and Glenice Kaurin had two wins, one loss and had a round win.
Kerry Scott and Maud Taylor enjoyed the day.
MEN’S SATURDAY PENNANTS – November 4
The first and second divisions were at home to Busselton Black and Eaton Blue. Both teams had good wins.
Division 1:
Collie 5 points 66 aggregate defeated Busselton Black 1 point 48 aggregate;
G. Keep, A. Collins, R. Guilfoyle, B. Butcher lost 17 to 23;
T. Edwards, J. McElroy, J. Crowe, R. Colgan won 23 to 13;
Ross White, B. Bass, G. Carter, W. Stocks won 26 to 12.
Division 2:
Collie 6 points 73 aggregate defeated Eaton Blue 0 points 46;
S. Matthews, M. Mellor, J. Waywood, J. Stone won 25 to 20;
K. McKenzie, R. Ferris, L. McCamish, J. Bell won 25 to 13;
G. Old, R. Searle, J. Godfrey, H. Wiggers won 23 to 13.
LADIES VETS CHAMPIONSHIPS – November 2
The ladies vet championship will conclude next week on Thursday, November 16. With only one more game to go there are two players in contention for the winners position.

Sixteen players enjoyed the men's scrounger on Sunday.
