The Shire of Collie will be honouring the contribution volunteers make to the community by hosting ‘Thank a Volunteer’ day.
The shire will be holding a presentation ceremony and afternoon tea in Central Park on Tuesday, December 5 to coincide with International Volunteer Day.
Shire CEO David Blurton said the event would formally recognise those volunteers who go above and beyond to help the community.
“Collie has a long and proud history of volunteering and this event highlights the invaluable contribution that current and past volunteers have made to our community,” he said.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony and enjoy some afternoon tea and entertainment.
Nominations for the event close on Thursday, November 30. To nominate a local volunteer, send their name, organisation and contact details to charlee.westwood@collie.wa.gov.au.
