While the holiday season is seen as a time of joy for most, it can also be a tough time for those less fortunate.
To help spread the Christmas cheer, the Collie community is coming together to help those in need to make sure everyone has an enjoyable Christmas this year.
Collie Community House, St Vincent de Paul, the Shire of Collie and the office of Collie-Preston MLA Mick Murray have been collecting donations and putting together Christmas hampers to help ease the burden on those who are doing it tough.
If you would like to get involved and help out, all donations are welcome including non-perishable food items, toys and books.
Money and vouchers can also be donated and will be used by the volunteers to buy items to fill the hampers.
Donations can be dropped off at the Collie Library or the office of Mick Murray at 76 Forrest Street by Tuesday, December 19.
If you are in need this Christmas, please phone the office of Mick Murray on 9734 2073 to have your name put down for a hamper.
