Collie Police are investigating an aggravated burglary that occurred while the homeowner was still at home this week.
On November 5, thieves gained entry to a house on Wittenoom Street through a rear kitchen door and stole a wallet and cash.
Senior Constable Alana King said the elderly resident was watching television inside the house at the time of the incident, but was not injured and was unaware of the break-in until later when he noticed his wallet was missing.
Police are also investigating another burglary that occurred around the same time at a house on McManus Road in Allanson.
Senior Constable King said replica firearms and handguns were stolen from the premises.
Anyone with any information about the burglaries are urged to contact Collie Police.
The recent spate of thefts at vacant properties has continued into another week with copper piping stolen from a house on Wallsend Street.
Finally, Collie Flooring Xtra on Medic Street was the target of yet another rock-throwing incident sometime between December 2 and 3.
Senior Constable King said the business had been targeted by rock-throwers with some of the windows at the front of the premises smashed.
The business was the victim of a similar attack about two months ago, along with the Collie River Dental Centre and Collie Variety Centre. The business was also the target of a theft just three weeks ago, with cash and other items taken.
