CHARLIE CROWE DAY SCROUNGERS

Two greens were used in the Charlie Crowe day on Sunday, January 7.

Charlie was a member of our club and a good scroungers member who played in many scroungers events and implimented the format years ago.

Many members remember Charlie at the scroungers sitting in his favourite chair and playing.

Twenty-six players turned out for the day.

All players played 16 ends of three bowls and the winner off each rink played six ends in a semi final.

The eight players reaching the semis were: Shirley Moody, Barry Lowe, Len Flynn, Peter Kaurin, Kerry Scott, Rick Daniel, Bill Mitchell, Ray Colgan.

Four winners then played four ends in the grand final.
