Police have called for any information after two gazebos used by the maintenance workers currently on strike at Griffin Coal were stolen over the Christmas period.
The two gazebos the maintenance workers had been using as shade cover while on strike were reported stolen on December 23.
The workers have since put up more gazebos, however maintenance worker Chad Mitchell said he was disappointed that they had been taken.
“It’s a pretty low act to steal from the picket line, at that time of year especially,” he said.
Mr Mitchell said several other items owned by or donated to the maintenance workers had also been stolen over the last few weeks.
He also said he was hopeful that a new offer would be put to the workers soon, so they could go back to work and would no longer need the shade cover.
Collie Police Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar said it was “pretty disappointing” the items had been taken and has appealed to anyone with any knowledge about the crime to contact police.
