Tuesday was the day the teddy bears had their picnic.
The Collie Valley Child and Parent Centre hosted a teddy bears’ picnic day for families on Tuesday, January 9.
Parents and their children were invited down to the Child and Parent Centre, along with their teddy bears, for a morning of fun activities, followed by a picnic.
The children were treated to a fun morning of activities on the day, with visitors tasked with an arts and crafts project.
The children had to make their own bear faces out of paper plates and cardboard, while the play-doh station was also a hit with the kids.
The morning was concluded with a nice picnic for the families out on the grass, with sandwiches, cupcakes and a range of other tasty snacks served up.
The teddy bears’ picnic was just one of the fun activities that the Collie Valley Child and Parent Centre has planned for the school holidays.
On Thursday, January 25, the centre will host a water fun play day from 10am until midday. Parents are asked to bring sunscreen, towels and a plate of food to share.
The centre will also be hosting a free sausage sizzle lunch at the Harris River Dam picnic area on Tuesday, January 23 from 11am for parents and their children aged up to 8 years old.
