The Shire of Collie is calling on the community for ideas on what to call its new mountain bike trail.
Crank’n Cycles is sponsoring a competition and has donated vouchers for the whoever has the winning name.
The shire has asked that the recommendations identify with Collie but can also have an outdoor/adventure theme to it.
The winner will be chosen by the shire’s Trails Planning Reference Group made up of councillors, local clubs and trail experts.
Some recommendations have already come forward including Cockatoo Trail, Wildlife Trail, Trail Mctrail face, Crankin Wildlife Trail, Billabong Trail, Collie Valley Trail and Sanctuary Bike Trail.
To enter the competition, comment on the shire’s Facebook post with your suggestion.
The Shire of Collie will be launching the new trail on January 25 at Soldiers Park.
There will be a formal presentation at 3pm with the inaugural ride set for 3.30pm.
The length of the trail is nine kilometres, single track is 4.5km and handcycle for five kilometres.
