The Collie Railway Station’s Thomas the Tank Engine carriage received a couple of new friends last week.
The railway station took delivery of two new carriages, Annie and Clarabel, for children to play and interact with on Wednesday, January 10.
Collie Railway Station Group president Jeanette MacLaren-Hall said the carriages were made by members of the Collie Men’s Shed and had been in the pipeline for more than 18 months.
Ms MacLaren-Hall said that the new carriages were already proving a hit with children visiting the station.
Ms MacLaren-Hall also said that the station was “in desperate need of volunteers” to continue running.
She also said the Collie Railway Station Group was looking for a secretary and a treasurer.
