Shire of Collie council voted to introduce new fees to Roche Park’s Living Longer Living Stronger program at the ordinary council meeting this week.
The exercise program was introduced after a grant from the Department of Sport and Recreation for a 'Seniors Recreation Centre Activation project' to encourage seniors in regional communities to stay physically active.
The new fees of the program will be $60 for an assessment and $5 per session will cover ongoing costs of the instructor and refresher courses.
The fee structure proposed for the long-term program is based on the costs incurred and represents an average price for the program across the state.
