SOUTH PERTH FOURS – March 7
The team from Collie went to South Perth Bowling Club for the Carnival Fours and came away with the win over the two days.
The team of Gary Keep, Jamie Parker, Ron Guilfoyle and Rob Ferris won all their games and won overall. They also went to Narrogin on last weekend and had no success.
Jeff Crowe’s team had a Saturday win.

PINE HAULIERS MEAT PACK – March 7
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon’s Pine Hauliers Meat Pack last week with the format being a draw after every game and keep your scores; bowls were 2 x 4 x 2, 3 x 3 straight and 2 x 2.
This gives all bowlers a chance to become winners or in the prizes.
1st: Penny Valli with 6 points plus 29;
2nd: Tom Gale with 6 points plus 25;
3rd: Jim McElroy with 5 points plus 42;
4th: Kevin McKenzie with 5 points plus 33.
COMMUNITY BOWLS – March 7
Once again the Community bowls had another good night and all enjoyed their bowls. There was some behind the scenes skulduggery of who gets the best bowls because they like the bowls they play.
There is only one round left and this will decide who wins overall. The winner will then play in Perth for Collie.
Winners: Bendigo Bank – now have a 6 handicap.
SATURDAY PENNANTS – March 10
The last game of the round was played on Saturday with some good results.
Division 1 won against Eaton Golds. Division 2 only had to win a couple of rinks to cement their place in the four. Both divisions are in the finals at Busselton and Binningup next Saturday; good luck to both teams.

THOMAS FAMILY VETS CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES – March 11
The Vets Championship singles between Brian Butcher and Tom Edwards. Brian defeated Hans Wiggers to make the grand final and Tom defeated Les McCamish to get into the grand final.
Brian scored on 12 ends out of 15 and the score was 21 to 5; good draw bowls from both players.
Brian now plays in the South West League in April for Collie.
