CHAMPIONSHIP FOURS – March 29
The men completed their Championship fours last week and the games were drawn teams two bowls each and some good bowls being played.
Winners: Ron Guilfoyle, Ray Colgan, Bill Mitchell and Valdes Brojanowski.
Runners-up: Jim McElroy, Jeff Crowe, J. Stone and Barry Lowe.
PINE HAULIERS MEAT PACK – April 4
Once again the meat pack was well attended and enjoyed by all who played. A good field of bowlers and for first place was a draw on scores and come down to percentages to see who won.
Winners: Graeme Carter and Len Flynn with 4 points plus 13;
Second: Ray Colgan and John Bell with 4 plus 13;
Third: Steve Matthews and Don Burgess with 4 plus 5.
LADIES BOWLS – April 6
Two teams travelled away on Friday last week one to Donnybrook and one to Wickepin. The team to Donnybrook were Heather Gibbs, Vicki Daniel, Kath Cluning and Kath McElroy who had fun and two wins and one loss.
The team to Wickepin were Kerry Scott, Karina Snow, Glenice Kaurin and Judy Saunders and they enjoyed the day and also came away with two wins and one loss.
SW LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS – April 8
The men played their League Championships on the weekend and the last pair standing was Ross White and Brian Bass.
Most games were played in sectionals of three. In the singles on Sunday were Brian Butcher, Gary Keep, and the pairs combinations fours were knockout games. The fours were knocked out Sunday morning.
