Collie Police are investigating after a tree harvester was shot at overnight between April 11 and 12 on Collie-Williams Road.
Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar said the harvester was found the next morning with damage to the interior of the cab due to two shots from a high calibre rifle.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said one shot went through the windscreen, while the other went through a side window. Police are calling for any information.
Police are also calling for any witnesses to a burglary and assault at a house on Moore Street at 10.30pm on April 10.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said people known to the occupant entered the house and took some items. An altercation also occurred although no one was seriously injured.
Police are investigating after a small bag containing white crystals, believed to be methamphetamine, was found in Coles at 5pm on April 15.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said police have received CCTV footage and have a female person of interest who appears to have dropped the bag in the store.
Senior Sergeant Soutar has also called for residents to make sure they lock their doors and windows even if they’re at home after a house on River Road was burgled while the occupant was asleep.
He said the occupant woke and found someone had entered his property overnight between April 15 and 16 through an unlocked back door and stole an iPad, a wallet, cigarettes and some coins.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said a male has been spoken to in relation to theft and inquiries are still continuing, but also that it was worrying that the offender had entered even though they knew the occupant was home.
Police are also investigating a theft at Collie Auto Tech on Forrest Street that happened sometime between April 13 and 14.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said the offender had gained entry by damaging a rear chain link fence and had stolen a set of second-hand tyres for a four-wheel drive vehicle.
Police have also charged a juvenile and put him on a curfew in relation to a rock-throwing incident from December 10, 2017.
Senior Sergeant Soutar also said police had seized a handful of weapons that were found at the Collie Waste Transfer Station.
He said a firearm and crossbows that had been concealed in an abandoned electric cabinet were located on April 13.
Police are also looking for information in relation ti a damage offence at the Club Hotel at about 3.55pm on April 15.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said a woman had smashed several windows of a unit at the hotel before getting into a vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Finally, a 35-year-old Australind woman is ‘lucky to be alive’ after narrowly missing a tree when she crashed her car in Allanson on April 14.
Senior Constable Dion Jackson said the woman had returned a blood-alcohol content reading of 0.206 at the police station, more than four times the legal limit.
He said she was charged with driving under the influence and received an automatic disqualification notice on her driver’s licence.
