The South West Rail and Heritage Centre in Boyanup are holding Act-Belong-Commit Traditional Trades Day on Sunday, April 22 to highlight skills and practices that are in danger of being lost.
Trades such as bookbinding, woodturning, and rope splicing will be demonstrated along with informative displays.
Residents of the South West Rail Heritage Centre including the Boyanup Foundation Blacksmiths, South West Model Railway Group, the Preston River Old Machinery Group, Capel Men’s Shed will be in action and Rail Heritage’s railway rolling stock and the vintage agricultural machinery will be on show.
Children and adults will enjoy the marionette show from "Top of the Stairs Puppets" and children will be able to experience traditional games and crafts.
The event will run from 10am until 2pm and entry is by donation.
