A Collie man has been fined $1000 and disqualified from obtaining a driver’s licence for nine months after pleading guilty to driving unlicenced.
Jaxson James Foster did not appear in the Collie Magistrates Court on April 11 but pleaded guilty to one charge of no authority to drive.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Greg Ward told the court Foster’s Mitsubishi Lancer was pulled over on Vincent Street at 10:30pm on March 13.
He said police found that Foster had never held a licence and was already disqualified from obtaining a licence until July this year after a similar unlicenced driving incident in September 2017.
Magistrate Evan Shackleton imposed a $1000 fine for the offence, along with a nine-month cumulative disqualification period where Foster will be unable to attain a driver’s licence, which will begin once his previous disqualification ends.
