A Collie man has been fined $1000 after pleading guilty in the Collie Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 11 to one charge possessing drug paraphernalia.
Darrel Phillip Tuckey was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant after police pulled him over at 1:27am on December 27, 2017 on Throssell Street.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Greg Ward told the court that during a frisk search police found a glass implement on Tuckey’s body, which he admitted he used to smoke methamphetamine.
He also said Tuckey did not have methamphetamine in his system when he was pulled over.
Magistrate Evan Shackleton handed Tuckey the $1000 fine, along with court costs, and also ordered for the implement to be destroyed.
