At the latest council meeting, councillors decided on voting delegates for the WA Local Government Association Annual General Meeting in August.
Shire of Collie President Sarah Stanley and Deputy Shire President Ian Miffling will be voting delegates at the meeting to be held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.
The meeting is part of Local Government Week which sees local governments from WA represent themselves with an opportunity to submit agenda items which will be discussed at the meeting.
The WALGA Annual General Meeting provides the opportunity for member councils to submit written motions which will be included as part of the meeting.
Each notice of motion provided by the council must include research and the relevant background information to provide the members of WALGA sufficient information to make determination on the matter.
The final date by which notice of motions must be provided to WALGA is by June 5.
