The Friends of the Collie River community group held another successful river planting event over the weekend.
More than 30 members of the community, including a large contingent of Collie Scouts, planted native seedlings along the river bank near the East End Bridge.
Friends of the Collie River coordinator Donna Davies thanked everyone who turned up and South32, who sponsored the plants.
Ms Davies said the group had also held a planting day at the same location on Friday for students from St Brigid’s School.
She said it was a successful day, as the year 4-6 students really enjoyed themselves and planted more than 1000 seedlings.
She said the group would be organising more planting days for anyone who wanted to help revitilise the river.
