A Collie man has been ordered to undergo a pre-sentence report after pleading guilty to five charges in the Collie Magistrates Court last week.
Daniel James Gillard pleaded guilty to charges of criminal damage, obstruction, aggravated assault, carrying a controlled weapon and failing to comply with orders from a police officer.
He also pleaded not guilty to one charge of no authority to drive.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Barry Phelps said police had responded to an incident at a house in Ogden Street on March 21, where they were forced to taser Gillard twice.
He said Gillard had been asked to pack his bags and leave by his girlfriend but refused and caused damage inside the house.
Sergeant Phelps said Gillard then threatened to burn the house down and choked his girlfriend once she returned home.
Two of the charges, including the one Gillard pleaded not guilty to, related to a traffic stop on February 22 where Gillard returned a positive breath test but refused to accompany police back to the police station.
Magistrate Brian Mahon ordered a pre-sentence report be conducted before Gillard reappears in court for sentencing on August 8.
