Work has begun to fix one of WA’s most dangerous intersections – the corner of Hynes Road and Forrest Highway near Eaton.
The intersection was identified by an RAC survey last year as the worst intersection in WA.
The overall construction of the Hynes Road-Forrest Highway intersection upgrade works is expected to be completed by the end of July.
A new northbound acceleration lane from Hynes Road will also be constructed with $1 million of Black Spot funding committed to the project.
“This intersection has been too dangerous for far too long so I’m glad to see the work finally getting underway to fix it,” Collie-Preston MLA Mick Murray said.
