A 29-year-old Collie man was given a six-month community-based order for two offences in the Collie Magistrates Court on May 16.
Christopher Dean Taylor appeared in court via videolink from Bunbury Regional Prison to be sentenced for the offences, which related to an incident where Taylor assaulted his former partner on March 18.
Taylor had previously pleaded guilty to the charges of common assault in circumstances of aggravation and attempted unlawful damage in the Collie Magistrates Court on March 21.
Magistrate Brian Mahon handed down the community order.
The magistrate warned Taylor any further violent offending would lead to a term of imprisonment.
