YEAR 7
The Year 7 team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a solid win over Eaton Eagles Gold on Saturday, with the final score Collie 11 goals, 8 points to Eaton 6 goals, 2 points.
Multiple goal kickers for Collie were George Fuller, Toby Wright and Odin Kirk with two goals each.
Award winners for the day were George Fuller, Kane Hindle and Toby Wright with a great improved effort with his two goals.
Next week – the Eagles play Bunbury Bulldogs Gold in Collie at 1.15pm.
YEAR 8
The Year 8 travelling team had their first win of the season on Saturday against Eaton Eagles at home.
The Eagles played some fantastic football and it was a close game until three quarter time.
The home side then dominated the final quarter with the teams improved fitness showing strong.
Some strong work up forward by Ryan Barber and Jackson Broadbent (three goals each) proved too much for Eaton. Award winners for the day were Ryan Barber for his strength and skill up forward, Jayden Burek for his massive improvement and fitness and Brady Becker for his best game of the year.
Next week – the Year 8 side plays South Bunbury away this coming Saturday.
YEAR 9
The Year 9 team also had their first win of the season in a great game of football against AMR on the weekend, with Collie running out 6 goals, 16 points to 5 goals, 6 points.
Goal kickers for the day were Zac Pilatti, Jake Pitchers, Jacob Kenning, Dylan Cope, Patrick Windle and Jack Ugle.
Award winners for the day were Jake Pitchers, Jack Ugle and Liam Cain with special mention going to Anton Ugle for a great game of football.
Next week – the Year 9 side plays South Bunbury at Hay Park at 1.15pm.
YEAR 10
The Year 10 team went down in another great game of football against the Bunbury Bulldogs at home on Saturday.
Final scores were Collie, 33 points, to Bunbury, 49 points, goal kickers for the Eagles were Billy Bebbington, Christian Mears and Josh West.
Award winners for the day were Raymond Ugle, Dylan Benton, Ben Henke, Josh West and a great improvement from Hunter Buckley.
Next week – the Year 10 team plays Preston Thunder in Donnybrook.
