The South West Football League has named a preliminary squad of 67 players who are in contention to represent the league at the 2018 Landmark Country Football Championship in Perth next month.
The South West will be looking to recapture the championship after losing the last two grand finals to the Peel Football and Netball League. The South West had won the previous five grand finals before that.
The 2018 carnival will be played in Perth between Thursday, July 5 and Sunday, July 8.
Collie has nine players in the squad – the most along with reigning premier Bunbury – despite sitting on the bottom of the ladder.
Ladder-leader Donnybrook has seven players in the squad, as do Augusta Margaret River, Busselton and Carey Park.
Harvey and South Bunbury each have six, while Eaton has five and Harvey Brunswick Leschenault has four.
The squad will be cut down to a team of 27 before the carnival begins.
