If you have ever been curious to take a look into what your future may hold or to connect with someone who has passed away then the upcoming Wandering Cosmos Psychic Expo is for you.
The inaugural expo is happening at the Miners’ Institute on July 28 and 29 and will continue on to be an annual event held in Collie held every winter.
Wandering Cosmos store owner Sarah Snow said she opened the store in December last year as a crystal and wellness centre.
“I opened full well thinking it was going to be a struggle, you know it’s a mining town but the response has been absolutely overwhelming. I have people that come in and say thank god I don’t have to go down the hill anymore. I source as much as I can locally,” she said
“In February we did a trial event, it was next door and we had about eight or nine psychics and healers. It ran for the whole weekend, by the Sunday we were turning people away because we didn’t have enough people to cover the demand. The reason why we are doing it is because the demand is there.”
“So what we’re doing now is we are going to do one a year, in the middle of the year and it’s going to be much bigger.”
The expo will feature mediums, psychics, and other forms of healing like bowen therapy and rekki, a wide variety of stalls, and will have a supervised kids corner with children entertainers, a bouncing castle, videos and popcorn.
One of the three sisters and psychic medium Leisa Marie (Tiger) was born with the power to see people who have passed away.
“We (the three sisters) have done quite a few expos. I absolutely adore being able to pass on messages to people still living, to help people who are experiencing different paths of their life and to give them validation that the people who have passed away in their lives are still there,” she said.
“Psychics tune into the energy of people or objects, so if I held onto an item of your jewelry I could pick up information off that, where a medium actually tunes into the spirit energy surrounding the person they’re reading for.”
The expo will start at 9am both days and will run late on Saturday and until 5pm on Sunday.
