It’s our favourite time of the week – a chance to reflect on the changes in our region, the faces and the fun that was being had during April 2008.
There was a lot going on around Collie at the time of April 2008.
Underwater hockey players Scott Digney and Jason Miezis set off overseas to play for Australia for the World Championships.
It was all glitz and glamour at the annual Collie Senior High School ball.
The 2008 Apprentice of the Year awards were held with Greg DeAngelis from Verve Energy winning the Shire of Collie third year apprentice award and Jayson Brown from Wesfarmers Premier Coal was the winner of the Walter Geldert award for the first year apprentice.
There were plans to build two new power stations at the Bluewaters site.
