Lake Towerrinning Enhancement Project
The Shire of West Arthur recently received a grant from the WA Government’s State Natural Resource Management Program, supported by Royalties for Regions to undertake some improvements at Lake Towerrinning.
It has allowed the Shire of West Arthur to install some steps and fencing at the boat ramp.
New mechanical gates will be installed at the lake overflow area allowing the operators to open the gates without getting into the water in the middle of winter.
Finally, around 1900 tree and shrub seedlings will be planted on the lake banks in August.
