In wintery conditions on Saturday, 34 players took to the fairways to battle for the Collie Mowers n More trophies.
With a big down pour almost stopping play, Ash Stewart got his group moving to continue play and paid handsome dividends.
Ash found the conditions to his liking returning the only plus score in the entire field. He returned +2 to win the event.
Playing in the same group was Mark McCormick who found the early going favourable but with the last down pour Mark lost touch with Ash and had to settle for the runner up spot with -1.
Ian Stewart also had -1 followed by Jim Moyses, Ed Riley, Brett Smith and Warren Hann all on -2.
Nancy Lynn won the ladies with -1 edging out Lesley Motion on -2.
Novelties winners: No. 4 – Clayton Flynn and Lelsey Motion, No. 6 – Kim Metcalfe, No. 14 – Clayton Flynn, No. 15 – Ash Stewart, No. 18 – Mun Lye.
On Tuesday, 27 players took to the fairways for the club sponsored Leisure Day Trophy.
In a close contest Alan Kent had 37 points to win the event on countback from Ray Alp also on 37.
Next on 36 points was Frank Battista followed by Kevin Ireland 35 and Jay Robinson 34.
The best vet on the day went to Roger Hunter with 35 points.
Thursday Scroungers attracted a good field and another tight contest.
Terry Massara won the day with 21 edging out Head Scrounger Ed Riley also on 21.
Stephen Farquhar, Des Hebb and Mick Jack all returned 20 followed by John Jackson on 18, Steve Gianola and George Dorozenko both on 17.
