YEAR 6
On Saturday the year 6 Collie Eagles travelled to Leschenault to play the HBL Lions in some horrid conditions.
Captain Jak Kohler won the toss and went with the wind in the first quarter which gave the team a good start with 3.4 goals to 0.0.
The team struggled in the conditions in the second quarter and only managed 0.3 to HBL 1.1.
In the third quarter Collie fired up and were kicking straight to score 6.1 to HBL 0.0.
HBL did fight back in the last quarter and finished the day with 4.6 to Collie Eagles 11.11.
Goal scorers were Jett Pike 5, Hayden Fogarty 2, Alby Bebbington, Tom Bell, Cai Kenyon and Koby Mears 1 each.
Awards went to Jett Pike for his five goals and Troy Bolderson and Aref Babaie who are both starting to find their feet on the field. This Saturday the boys play HBL Pride at Leschenault at 11.30am.
YEAR 7
The Year 7 travelling team tasted defeat for the first time this season, going down to South Bunbury 2-11 to 4-4.
Inaccurate kicking and some missing key players hurt the team.
Goal kickers for the day were Blayden Coverley and Judd Rinder.
The award winners were Judd Rinder, Zac Reuben and Blake Rees.
YEAR 8
The team lost a game they should have won on the Saturday against HBL Pride in Leschenault.
The Eagles went down 3-2 to 5-8
Goal kickers for Collie were Ryan Barber, Robby Chitty and Charlie Bell and award winners were Ryan Barber, Jye Smith, Charlie Bell, Robbie Chitty and Reeve Gooch.
This week the Eagles take on Dunsborough in Dunsborough at 3pm.
YEAR 9
The side won a great game of footy against the Harvey Bulls on the weekend.
The Eagles won after scoring 55 points to the Bulls 28.
Goal kickers for Collie were Jack Bury with a mighty four goals and Jake Pictures and Bevan Stone kicked 2 goals each.
Award winners were Jack Bury, Tristan Ramshaw and Jake Pitchers.
Next week the Eagles take on Dunsborough.
YEAR 10
The team was well beaten on the weekend by Dunsborough – final scores Sharks 11-13 to Collie 2-2.
Goal kickers were Hayden Mears and Billy Bebbington and award winners were Alex Davidson, Hayden Mears, Dylan Benton and Te Kauri Jack-Tui and Kade Bergersen.
Next week the side plays Bunbury Bulldogs at Hay Park.
