Tree Planting at the Lake
The final stages of the Lake Towerrinning Enhancement Project were undertaken recently after a number of false starts because of weather conditions.
Darkan Primary school, community members and shire staff worked together to get 2000 trees planted on the banks and around the grounds at Lake Towerrinning.
Lakeside Camping also has new gates for controlling the lake levels which will help seasonal activities.
All this work has been made possible through a grant from the state Natural Resource Management program (supported by Royalties for Regions) and Shire of West Arthur and Lakeside Camping support.

The BreastScreen WA mobile service will be in Darkan between September 7 and 11.
