Fundraiser for Kenya

The West Arthur WIFE group hosted an evening at the Darkan Sports Club recently to raise funds for the Children of Maasai educational fund.

Special guest Lauren Jackson of Collie, who is a co-founder of the group, spoke at length about her work and the people she has met.

Funds were raised from dinner sales and a range of raffles, money boards etc; and people made donations of underwear and ladies clothing.

Lauren is going back to Kenya in November and taking her friend from Darkan, Amy Lubcke, who is excited about using her nursing skills overseas.

Good luck to these young women who’s willingness to dedicate their time will lighten the load for some people who deserve it.

Thanks to the West Arthur WIFE group for organising the evening. Find out more by searching childrenofmaasai.org online.
