The Shire of Collie has urged local residents to have their say on the potential for a heated indoor swimming pool in town before it’s too late.
A survey seeking to understand the needs of the community and the costs of developing the pool at the current site closes on Sunday, September 16.
Once survey results are in, Tredwell Management Solutions will collate the information and conduct a community workshop on Thursday, September 27 at 5pm in the Margaretta Wilson Centre.
The consultants will also be meeting with groups that use the pool such as the swimming club, underwater hockey club, swimming teachers and local health professionals.
More than 500 completed surveys have been received to date.
For those residents who have not yet participated, the survey is available on the online at yoursay.collie.wa.gov.au/collie-heated-indoor-pool-community-survey, while a printed copies are available from the library, the shire office and at Roche Park.
