The Shire of Collie is calling for nominations for the annual sportsperson of the year awards.
The community has been invited to put forward nominations for the sportsperson, junior sportsperson and volunteer of the year, along with the special achievement award.
Nomination forms can be found at the shire office, Roche Park, the library or online at https://www.collie.wa.gov.au/community/awards-grants-funding/ and must be returned by 4pm on Friday, October 26.
All nominees must live within the Shire of Collie.
The awards presentation evening will be held on Friday, November 30.
Last year’s JL Mumme Medal for Collie’s sportsperson of the year was taken out by woodchopper and greyhound trainer Grant Campbell.
Emily Antonovich took out the young sportsperson of the year for her achievements on the hockey field, while Annabelle Biffin won the special achievement award for her work as an underwater hockey umpire and Paul Reuben won the volunteer of the year award for his work with the Collie Junior Cricket Club.
