Woolworths and Telethon are encouraging Collie and West Arthur residents to help support seriously ill children across the state through the store’s Halloween fundraiser.
Local customers at Woolworths Collie can play their part by simply adding a $1 Woolworths Halloween fundraising token to their shop until October 31.
All of funds raised will be given to Telethon to help with its ongoing efforts to provide families across the state with the support they need when their child becomes ill.
Telethon has been created by and belongs to the community of Western Australia, who over five decades have generously donated to ensure a better life for children now and in the future.
Channel 7 Telethon Trust general manager Marie-Anne Keeffe said the generosity of the community had created ‘a major impact on some of the life threatening diseases that face our children’.
“Funds raised across this Halloween fundraising appeal will help us in our mission to change the lives of seriously ill children, so we encourage local participation from Collie and West Arthur shoppers,” she said.
Woolworths Collie store manager Bec Fitzpatrick said the store was proud to be involved with raising money for the important work done by Telethon.
“We’re proud of our long standing partnership with Telethon the Children’s Charity and are always overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers,” she said.
