The children and carers at Kidz Cottage did their bit to help sick children on Monday afternoon, holding a $2 sale to raise money for Telethon.
The children spent the afternoon manning the stall outside the childcare facility, with the $138 raised on the day being donated to Telethon.
Kidz Cottage manager Nicole Mills said the exercise had been a great learning experience for the children.
“They really got into it and sold plants they had grown themselves,” she said.
“It was good for them to think of other children and raise money to help Telethon.”
Kidz Cottage carer Bernadette Garbutt said she hoped the experience would inspire others within the community to do their bit to help the charity.
