On Sunday a good field of 14 mixed pairs took to the fairways to compete in the 27-hole mixed foursome club championship.
In a first for many years there was a tie at the top of the leader board and sudden death play-off was required to split the winners.
Dean Rakich and Vicki Graham won the playoff hole against Colin Giblett and Bev Moyses.
Both pairs had 129 for the 27 holes.
The nett section saw a comfortable win for Steven and Angela Ireland who could not miss a putt early on in the game.
The Irelands had 105.25 with the VanVollenstees, Jan and Debbie, claiming second place trophy with 111.25.
Ron and Lorraine Annandale came in third place with 111.75.
In a nice field of 60 players Ron Annandale won the Saturday 18-hole stableford sponsored by Brian Banks, Mick Pokrywka, Neil Clarke and Eric Annandale.
The sponsors have been putting this event on for many years now and was great to see a good turnout.
Ron played steady all day never leaving the fairways and sinking some nice putts on his way to 41.
Runner-up with 40 was the in-form Jeff Crowe and the president Regan Old claimed the third place trophy with 39.
A special mention to one of the sponsors Eric Annandale who also had 41 points.
Denis Cocker and Ray Cooper both had 39 followed by Mark McCormick, John Wray, Trevor Lawrence and Clayton Flynn all on 38, Steven Ireland, Warren Hann on 37 and Troy Sheppard, Terry Reeves, Hugh Annandale all on 36.
Rhonda Annandale kept it in the family by winning the ladies with 37.
Novelties winners: No. 4 – Peter Wutchak; No. 6 – Wazza; No. 9 – Mick Pokrywka; No. 14 – John Wray; No. 15 – Jay Robinson; No. 18 – Peter Wutchak.
Tuesday saw the good scoring continue with Jeff Crowe leading the 25 strong field with 41.
Paul Moyses was next best with 40 followed by Neil Motion37, Ray Alp, Ed Riley, Jim Moyses and Alan Banks all on 35.
The best vet on the day went to Kim Metcalfe with 37.
Thursday scroungers saw a close contest at the top of the leader board.
Frank Battista had 22 to be a point clear of Bruce Jackson on 21.
Tony Barker-May had 20 followed by Kim Metcalfe, Alan Kent and Fred Bronickis all on 19.
A reminder AGM is Sunday, October 28 at 10am; committee members needed. There is a nomination sheet in the clubhouse.
