A 45-year-old Collie man has pleaded guilty to five offences in the Collie Magistrates Court last week, including two assault of a police officer charges.
Clinton Robert Williams appeared in court via videolink from Bunbury Regional Prison where he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, criminal damage, obstructing police and two counts of assaulting a public officer.
The charges stemmed from a series of incidents that occurred on July 21.
The court heard that Williams had assaulted a 68-year-old man at Woolworths before heading to the Collie Hospital where he caused damage to windows and the roof.
When police arrived at the scene, Williams kicked one in the stomach and punched another in the face.
Magistrate Belinda Coleman adjourned Williams’ sentencing until October 24 so that character references could be collected and presented to the court.
