The Collie Motorplex will play host to the fourth and final round of the Consent2Go state road racing championships this Sunday, October 21.
It will be an action-packed day of racing with all four class championships up for grabs.
In the Consent2Go Superbike Championship, it will be Ben Stronach’s title to lose as he heads into the final race day with a 40-point lead of younger brother Cameron and national rider Adam Senior after winning seven of the nine individual races across the season.
Tim De Bruyn, Rob Connaughton and Joel Beard sit someway behind the podium and will likely be fighting to take out fourth position.
In the Cully’s Yamaha Supersport Championship, it’s another pair of brothers – Leigh and Tim Boujos – fighting for the top spot.
Josh Mathers scored a second and two third-place finishes at the last round to solidify his spot in the third with Lachlan Hickey not far behind.
The tightest competition will be in the sidecar championship, with just 41 points separating the top four pairs.
Jero Joyce and Corey Blackman moved into contention with a strong third round, while Graeme Evans and Jarrod Scott strengthened their position at the top.
Des Harvey and Gary Cushnahan are also in the mix as are Micky Robbins and passenger Karen Dore.
In the production championship, it has been a consistent battle between two young teenagers, Callum O’Brien and Bronson Pickett, finishing first and second respectively in each of the three races at the previous round.
Lachlan Keogh, who missed round three, and Ian Fryer-Smith will be fighting to grab the final spot on the podium.
Practice will start at 9am on the day, with the first race of the 19 events scheduled for a 10.45am start. Entry is free for spectators.
The motorplex will also host the WRX Car Club on Saturday, with plenty of track action for spectators.
