On Sunday, October 21 a team of nine Collie Swimming Club members competed in their first swim meet for the Long Course Season, Bunbury Open.
Despite only training in Collie's 50 metre pool for a week, our swimmers performed well with a number of personal best times being achieved during the day.
Stand out efforts from Katy O'Brien taking out gold in her 50 metre breaststroke and Archie Boyle receiving bronze in his 100 metre breaststroke swim.
Brianna Birkinshaw swum in her first swim meet as a Junior Dolphin and performed well in her 50 metre events.
Collie Swimming Club coaches are looking forward to the rest of the Long Course season with our next event being the South West Region Carnival on Sunday, November 18 at the South West Sports Centre.
