Collie River Little Athletics Club welcomed all its athletes back for the 2018/19 season on Friday, October 19.
It was fantastic to see all the new and returning athletes at the grounds on Friday night.
As this is a new season each athlete will get new personal bests for every event they participate in.
Three records were broken and one new record was created this week.
Under 7 Billy Stewart broke the record in vortex with an impressive throw of 18.55m; the previous record was 13.99m.
Then Under 7 Flynn Darnel also broke the record in vortex with a massive throw of 19.59m.
Under 8 Chase Sochacki had a record-breaking 0.88m high jump.
This is a new record as this is the first time high jump has been offered to this age group.
Under 13 An-ne Pelser threw a 25.46m in discus; the previous record was 25.24m. Well done to all athletes on a great first meet.
A reminder to parents that your involvement is imperative for the smooth running of all events.
Training is on Wednesday from 5-6pm and competition in on Friday with set-up at 4.30pm for a 5pm start.
Registrations are still being taken, so if you would like to register please contact Gemma at the grounds.
