Thirty-eight athletes participated in this week’s Little Athletics meet on Friday, October 26. A huge week with the first hurdles of the season being participated in.
The young Under 6 and U7 athletes were also offered novelty events for the first time. As all athletes are still doing events for the first time they are all achieving personal bests in all events, a total of 139 this week.
Two records were also broken: U10 Oliver Stewart in 70m sprint with a time of 12:41s and U15 Connor Silvester in 300m Hurdles with a time of 1:00:42s.
A big congratulations to all of our athletes who participated; the sportsmanship is great to see.
Friday night will be exciting, as for the first time Collie will be offering the walk events to all eligible athletes.
It is fantastic to see all the parent support, not only on the track but helping setting up, packing away and the amazing ladies in the canteen.
