It’s our favourite time of the week – a step back in time to reflect on the changes in our region, the faces and the fun that was being had during the month of April 1996.
There was a lot going on in the region at the time.
It was reported that cattle were being illegally slaughtered and dumped at the Collie rubbish tip as often as twice a week.
Western Power competed for the first time in the second Mining and Energy Dragon Boat Festival held in Bunbury.
Collie’s main street project also received the second half of its funding from the Department of Trade and Commerce which totaled $50,000 over two years.
What was your favourite memory of April 1996?
