SATURDAY PENNANTS – November 24: Collie headed down the hill to Dunsborough with a very good but one-point win on aggregate. Division 2 stayed home and came away with the five points needed.
Division 1: Collie 41/2 points 65 aggregate defeated Binningup 11/2 points 64 aggregate; G. Keep, G. Carter, R. Ferris, T. Welsh lost 13 to 33; Ross White, A. Collins, G. Old, W. Stocks drew 18 all; T. Edwards, B. Bass, J. Crowe, R. Colgan won 34 to 13.
Division 2: Collie 5 points 68 aggregate defeated Capel 1 point 50 aggregate; K. McKenzie, I. Corley, L. McCamish, V. Brojanowski lost 17 to 25; R. Guilfoyle, S. Matthews, H. Wiggers, L. Flynn won 29 to 9; J. Tyler, M. Mellor, B. Lowe, J. Bell won 22 to 16.
EDIE HARRISON CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES – Nov 29: The ladies are finishing off the Edie Harrison Championship singles today and it could go either way on the last games. The winner plays in the South West League Championships in March.
McCAFE SCROUNGERS: The Sunday scroungers is back on this Sunday, December 2; names in by 9.15am to commence play at 9.30am.
REUBENS NEWS CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS – Nov 25: The Reubens News Championship Pairs were completed on November 25 with the winners from each section playing in the final on Sunday, December 2 in the afternoon. The winner of each section were Tom Edwards and Ashley Collins and Gary Keep and Ron Guilfoyle both these pairs played last year and it will be another great game. Eleven teams played in this competition and some great bowls were played.
PINE HAULIERS MEAT PACK – November 21
A small but good field of bowlers played in the Wednesday meat pack last week.
One pair had a good result by 12 shots.
Winner: Ray Colgan and Les McCamish with 4 points plus 23;
Second: Grahame Carter and Ian Bushell with 4 points plus 12.
INTER LEAGUE ROUND ROBIN – November 21
The South West League, Murray, Blackwood and the Lueewin Leagues played in the Inter League Round Robin on Wednesday and Thursday last week and defeated the Blackwood and Lueewin leagues, but came up short to the Murray League which had four rink wins to South West two rink wins.
The South West were runners-up to the Murray League who have won the pairs two years in a row. From this game they will select the Inter Zone team to play later in 2019.
