Numbers were down on Friday, November 30 with only 22 athletes competing, however that didn’t stop them from producing amazing results.
There were four new club records and 42 personal bests.
This week’s records go to:
U9 Xavier Stewart beating his own record in 100m with a new time of 15:42s and smashing an eight-year-old record in long jump with a jump of 3.87m (previous record of 3.69m).
U11 Jesse Munday in his first competition of the season in the 1500m in a time of 6:04:24s (previous time 6:11:31s).
Sam Kippin in discus with a throw of 18.49m, this is a new record as the weights have changed.
Xavier Stewart, Jesse Munday and Noah Carter had personal bests in all four of their events, a big congratulations to you all.
On Saturday, 16 little athletes made the trek to Narrogin to compete in the multi event. All athletes performed amazingly and the sportsmanship showed by all should be commended. Many new personal bests were set.
It was fantastic to see them catching up with athletes they have made friends with in the past and creating new friendships with new athletes.
Collie did a fantastic job with 12 out of the 16 kids bringing home medals, four gold, four silver and four bronze.
A reminder that next week’s training on December 12 is the last one before the Christmas break and will be our Christmas party.
Feel free to dress up in Christmas costumes.
It will be at the normal time of 5-6pm.
