Three Collie shoppers have a little extra to spend this year after being picked as the winners of the Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Christmas competition.
Wendy Perdon from the South West Development Commission drew the winners on Friday, Jaunary 11, with Helen Loneskie taking out the top prize of a $2000 shopping spree at Collie businesses.
Murray Murfit took out the second prize of a $1000 shopping spree while Ross Davis received the third-place prize worth $500.
Chappell Landscaping was announced as the winning business, receiving an advertising package worth more than $5000.
The competition saw shoppers receive a ticket if they spent $50 at one of 35 participating businesses between November 14 and January 10.
Chamber executive officer Bec Woods said 28,251 tickets had been printed, meaning over $1.4 million had been spent at Collie businesses over the Christmas period.
